Manchester United player Anthony’s value plummets to 20 million euros

Manchester United player Anthony

Antony’s market value has dropped for the seventh consecutive time. Today, Transfermarkt updated the market values of Premier League players, and Antony’s value fell by another €5 million.

In the summer of 2022, Antony transferred from Ajax to Manchester United for €95 million. In September of the same year, Transfermarkt increased his value from €35 million to €75 million.

Since March 2023, Antony’s value has experienced seven consecutive drops, falling from €75 million to the current €20 million, the lowest since January 2020.

This season, Antony has only played two matches, totaling 91 minutes, and scored one goal.

Current Season (2024/2025):
Premier League: Antony has made 2 appearances, totaling 91 minutes, and scored 1 goal.
EFL Cup: He played one match, scoring 1 goal in a 7-0 victory over Barnsley.

Previous Season (2023/2024):
Premier League: Antony played 29 matches (14 as a substitute) and scored 1 goal.
His performance has been inconsistent, with some standout moments like a high match rating of 8.7 in a game against Burnley.

Challenges:
Antony has struggled with form and consistency, partly due to limited chances created for him. His expected goals (xG) per 90 minutes is 0.20, indicating he has been somewhat isolated in the attack.
Despite these challenges, there is optimism that Antony can improve and make a significant impact if given more opportunities and support from his teammates.
